An Akashic Conversation with Reiki Mushroom

Reishi, ganoderma lucidum or Ling Zhi, is the mushroom of immortality. Humans have a long medicinal history with the powerful Reishi mushroom, with evidence of its use dating as far back as 6000 years ago. Therefore it was with great honor that I traveled to Akasha to converse with the spirit of Reishi.

This time however, I found that my intended conversational partner actually had nothing to say to me! So I called in my dear friend and mycological expert, Ash Ritter, to help establish a connection. She did this so successfully that, surprisingly, much of the conversation was private and meant only for Ash. Instead, here is an abbreviated version of the information that I was given permission to share:

This immortal mushroom has been on Earth for eons and has seen many cycles of evolution and extinction. Cycles are very important to Reishi, and they are attuned to many cycles that we humans are familiar with: the sun’s cycle through the seasons, the lunar cycle of the tides, the 24-hour cycle of the day. However, because of how long Reishi has been growing here on Earth, they are also attuned to meteor cycles! Reishi told me about a 25,000-35,000 year cycle, a 65,000 year cycle, and even a 110,000 year cycle. It turns out, mushrooms and meteors have a long and intimate relationship. Reishi actually receives downloads from these meteors, they act as extraterrestrial messengers carrying information from faraway places. They deliver the information to Reishi, who then spreads it through the mycelial network across our planet, assisting all the insects, reptiles, animals, and plants so they can thrive on Earth. Consumption of and proximity to the mushroom can also deliver the messages, so the tiny insect who seeks shelter under Reishi’s top or the squirrel who munches on it for sustenance will also receive this important info. This rich, beautiful, bio-diverse tapestry that Reishi weaves is a symbiotic system that aids in the ecological survival of thousands of different species!

I was delighted to learn that there are messages coming from the cosmos through the meteors, kind of like the Postal System of the Universe, and that Reishi are the ones receiving the mail! We are not alone. There is such generous diversity and it’s everywhere. Reishi also talked about how diversity is necessary for evolution, vital for life to thrive. There are very unique relationships between species and kingdoms and planets and galaxies throughout the universe, and Reishi’s relationship to meteors is just one fascinating example.

This ended up being a very complex discussion, and while I enjoyed it, I also know that it is going to take a long time to integrate the wisdom of it. Talking to Reishi with Ash present was a revelation to me: the spirit of everything is available in Akasha to provide knowledge and guidance. It’s not just the Records that are accessible, one can go there to receive guidance and enlightenment from many different, and often unexpected, sources!
